JUST IN!!!

This is just in(a week ago).My little brother has received his mission call. He's going to be serving in...Birmingham Alabama. I am so excited, scared, nervous, and sad all at once. He will be leaving February 9 and it's going to come so soon.
Love you little bro.

Girls day out!

The end of October my sister-in-law (Rory's sister) flew me without Rory down to San Francisco to help her make her house a home. We had such a good time shopping and decorating with a little children shuffling. We didn't get as much done as planned we had so much fun. We did the usual...The Wharf and Haight and Ashbury street. Thanks again Ronna can't wait til next time!

Good old San Fran!

This was a great little cupcake shop in the city. Ronna's husband co-work and his wife started this shop and they had really fun ideas.

Cupcakes Rock!

Believe it not this was a Gourmet Dog bakery. I had to get their special Bishon bar for my sweet puppy.

Well we had to visit the Giants Stadium the night they won Texas in Game 2. It was so crazy with all the fans and we met some very interesting people.

Thriller

Rory was so sweet and planned a night out for us and it was a surprise until last night. I dressed up and guessed the whole way there. Thriller...he took me to thriller. It was so much fun. Here is one of the many zombies that were roaming outside Kingsbury Hall that were little scary.
Thanks babe you're the best.

Yellowstone.

It's been about 2 months since we visited Yellowstone but I have nothing else to update on except our anniversary...We celebrated our 3rd anniversary August 31st . Anyways, On our way home from Cody Wyoming we took the scenic route through Yellowstone since Tonya and I have never had the experience. Before we left I was so nervous about running into a bear but Rory and Ryan's family reassured me that the chance was slim. Well needless to say we did run into one and on accident. We were taking pictures of deer and noticed that deer were staring at the bear and we didn't notice until we were 30 feet away. As Tonya and I take off in the opposite direction the boys sneaked closer and closer until a park ranger yelled at them to get away. Anyways, we had a blast and it was worth getting home at 3am and I had to be to work at 9.30.

We saw Old Faithful.

We all had a great time.

Last few months

Wow, I have a lot to catch up on. The last few months have been busy and I just haven't been able to sit down and take time to do this. We have had a lot of fun but with one funeral.

March we went to Cali for Rory's sister's surprise birthday. She didn't know we were coming out so it was very exciting to see her cry when we all showed up at her home. Her hubby was the one who planned it 3 months in advance and didn't tell the kids...love them but they would have spoiled it.

I love the beach! This is all us girls at the beach.
(It wasn't a hazy day but the camera lens was touched by baby Caitlyn.)
We were rushed because we had to decorate for the surprise party.

This was the funniest experience I've ever been in...We rented this nifty 'bike' at the Golden Gate Park. All 8 adults and 3 children fit...not comfortably. The outside people would peddle. Everyone was yelling for the others to peddle. I couldn't stop laughing. While I didn't peddle much I did hold the baby and that was a lot of work too ya know.

Rory and I had the experience to visit Alcatraz. It was very interesting to see all the history and the many different parts of the island.
And finally on this trip I was went to Ghirardelli Square. They have some amazing ice cream.

1st camping trip of the year

The first caming trip of the year is always exciting...we pull out all our stuff and see what we can go buy and there is always something you "need". We had a great time even though there was only 4 of us. We finally got to take out our new FJ and that we very exciting. Fish lake was our choice and it would have been great if there wasn't so much WIND. The days were good but the wind at night was like an air conditioner in our new tent, Rory wanted a new tent and ended up hating it, so we only stayed one night.

The GREAT news about the weekend was that Ryan ,Rory's bro, got engaged to Tonya who is so awesome. They are so great for each other.

We went fishing...caught nothing.

Rode the 4x4 wheelers. It was a BLAST!

Don't forget Charlie...he is just the happiest dog. Charlie loves to chase you on the 4x4 wheelers and the first time I get to drive it by myself they reassure me that he wont get in front and he did and I ran over his neck but he jumped right up an continued to chase me like nothing happened. I'll never hear the end of it.

It was so nice to be out and enjoy the fresh, cold outdoors.
It was mostly nice to have three days off in a row.

Tragedy

We had a minor set back with the truck. We bought it Feb 27th and enjoyed it till March 4th when some old woman hit me. It was less then a week and our truck was not driveable...boy was Rory mad...I was mad too. When the inspector arrived at our house to asses the damage, the first thing she said was "it's always a bad thing when there is a dealer plate on the car." I told her that we had it less then a week and she was so great to help us get in the shop that day. $8,800and 11 days later we get our car back in perfect condition. Now we are back to enjoying our truck every day...

Our Newest Addition

We don't have children and we don't plan on having children for another 2-3 years so while all of you are having babies and enjoying your happy families we are welcoming our newest addition. Everyone meet Tonka.

I know it' totally crazy. Rory has been looking for a Toyota Tacoma for about 2 months. We felt that his P.O.S. Mazda wasn't going to make it much longer Rory had worked really hard to get his degree so I thought he could look. We have looked at many many Tacomas but found nothing Rory and I could agree on. Saturday we went to a Toyota dealership and was kind of looking at the FJ cruiser you see above but still wanted a Tacoma...well we test drove it and we both fell in love with it. So 4 hours later we drove her home. I still can't believe that we own a YELLOW vehicle but it's totally us. Funny thing is that when we were first married and living in St. George the FJ Cruiser came out and we both loved so this was really was meant to be.

Our next issue is who gets to drive when...

Poor Boo

Boo is our cute little bishon and we can't love her enough(my mom as well). We don't have kids to talk about so here is our newest adventure with Boo.

We left her at my moms for the weekend of Valentines day and when we picked her up Sunday afternoon she started getting sick was throwing up, I know it's unpleasant but this gets better. So our vet mentioned that we could give her a little Pepto Bismol in this situation. In the past we have tried a spoon but we end up making a huge mess on our clothes but this time Rory had an extra(new) syringe at home so we put a little in there. As I pryed her little mouth open Rory squirted some in her mouth and she stared gaging and shaking her head rapidly, so we let her take a breather and then did it again to finish the rest of the syringe. This time Rory squirted all of it in her mouth all at once and started coughing and shaking her head rapidly again only this time she had so much in her mouth it went EVERYWERE...all over Rory's pants and all over my glasses. Here is a picture of the end result.

She is still so cute but to make things worse I had to give her a bath next. This day was very stressful so her.

Valentines

I think Valentines day is a dumb holiday but it's nice to get flowers and chocolates so I shouldn't complain. Rory was so sweet this year. He sent me an edible arrangement to my work that everyone enjoyed and I am still enjoying to this day. It was fun change. He also got me flowers and chocolates...I love chocolates.

Baby Shower

Saturday was my best friends baby shower for her first baby Aubrey. I made my first diaper cake and it turned out so great and everyone loved it, even though she came two weeks early as a preemie and wont be able to wear them for 6-8 months. It was a lot of fun to make as well as frustrating.

While we were in St. George we had an extra day to visit Las Vegas...We wanted to see the new City Center that was built right on the strip including 3 hotels and a retail and entertainment center. We we shopped at Tiffany & Co. while enjoyed all the unique architecture and interesting designs. This place was huge and I have to admit...we got lost a few times.

This picture is only a 1/8 of the City Center.

This was inside the retail center where it had many different levels where each floor was made out of a different product.

Christmas '09

I need to catch up on our blog. We have been a little busy so this has not been a top priority.
