Halloween

We had surprise visitors on Halloween. Our good friends from St George were here in town for a baby blessing. We continued our tradition by going to the pie pizzeria by the U. We had a great time.

We miss you guys and hope to see you at Christmas when we come down.

New York!!!

OK so we have been back from New York for a month now and I still haven't posted anything but I have a good reason...our computer has a bad virus and we haven't put it on the top of your list to fix so I am doing this on my brother-in-law(Ryan) computer.

We had a GREAT time in New York. We actually went out to New Jersey to visit Rory's sister for her college graduation party but we spent most of our time in New York. I would explain were we went and what we saw but it would take the entire blog to type so here are some pictures from highlights of the trip.

This was at RiLee's graduation party with their dad Terry

Here we are waiting for the Ferry to Ellis Island and the Statue of Libery.
Statue of Liberty with New York in the distance.
Top of the Empire State Building
(now the tallest building in the USA)

We will never forget the BEST ice cream that was served from the back of a portable van.

We made sure to visit the Manhattan Temple. It looked like a normal
New York building until you see Angel Moroni.

The LOVE sign near Central Park

I just had to go to the beach...it was perfect weather and don't worry I slathered on plenty of sun screen...I did not want a repeat from last summer in Oceanside, CA.

Oh and don't forget the famous Naked Cowboy at Time Square...who is running for Mayor of New York!

There was so much to see and not enough time to see it all. We will have to go back.

Night out on the town

Saturday the 27th we had our good friends Jason and Kim staying at our apartment while attending a wedding. Later that night, we all decided to go to the Pie pizzeria in Salt Lake City which is a big hangout place for the U students. We had a lot of fun writing on the walls and eating the yummy pizza.

After eating we had to prove to Rory that Hobitville really does exist so we drove down to Westminster and started to drive down the tree cover alley towards Hobitville when this big hick comes out to ask us our purpose where we continued to tell him that we were simply turning around...what was he trying to hide? Of course there are many many stories of those who have traveled down the famous street to catch a glance and the risk of possible fruit throwing and bat hitting. I guess we'll never know.

It's Britney B****!

For my birthday Rory got me tickets to the Britney Spears tickets on April 14.
It was so much fun!!! We were on the floor right in front of the stage.
Above is the Britney Spears bus outside, it was so sparkly and pink.

The Pussycat Dolls headed up the concert. They rocked and totally pumped the crowd.
Here we are while the pussycat dolls perform.

Home Sweet Home

Here is our new home for the next year. It is on the 3rd floor and at first we didn't think it would be too bad but the when the day to move in came we were only able to get about 1/16th of our stuff in. We were both so So SO tired, and my knees hurt as well. We called all the movers in the Yellow book but no luck on such short notice but Rory had the great idea of find and pay some Mexicans to help us move. They worked so hard and did a great job and I was truly grateful for their help. We have decided to hire people the next time we need to move.

Boo really likes to look off the balcony and bark at all those who walk by. Keep in mind she is all bark and she thinks she's pretty scary. It's been a big change for Boo to move from my moms home and huge backyard to this but she'll adjust.
Also, for the past 6 months Rory has been talking about getting a new flat screen tv, I agreed to a 40" tv. Somehow Rory talked me into letting him get a 46" tv because "it was the same $$$ as a 40"tv." Well anyways we have a huge tv in our tiny room so I guess the Super Bowl will be at house next year!
I still haven't found a job but I have a few prospects so we are just waiting to see how it all pans out. Anyways, thats the update for now.
P.S For those of you living in St George, it has been snowing and raining a lot. Today has been the first nice day in a long time but don't get too excited...it's going to snow again on Wednesday the 8th.

Happy Birthday Rory!

Rory's birthday was yesterday (Friday Feb. 6) and because he has been studying for the RN test we didn't really get to celebrate it (he didn't want to) but we did get him to take a break for dinner.

This was sent to Rory from his sister RiLee...it's about 1/2 pound of solid chocolate and it is so good. Thanks RiLee

After this test we look forward to things going back to normal. Good news...he did get a permanent job at the new IHC hospital on the Neuro Ortho floor so congrats to Rory. So far Salt Lake City seems to be working out pretty well, although, I am still in the process of finding a job and next on our list to-do is find an apartment and get out of Mom's basement. Anyways, we're just taking it day by day.

Haight & Ashbury

Spending time on Haight andAshbury street in San Fransico with the hippies!

Thanks

Thank you to all of you that helped us when we need help, we will miss everyone. We have had some great times and I promise we will come back to visit. I'm planning on coming back in February for the Parade Of Homes.

Another move?

Well for thoses of you who haven't heard...we are moving to the Salt Lake Area. Rory has been offered a job with IHC hospital that he can't turn down. This is a great oppertunity for him and it's ourway out of St George. Don't get me wrong, we love St George and all of our friends but we would never get out unless something like this came along. I quit my job and today I am packing everything. I didn't relize how much stuff I had untill I have to pack it up twice in the last 4 months. Poor boo just isn't sure what's going on and she thinks we're leaving her so she follows me around and sits on my lap.
